MTB offers help with your "small moves." By that I mean 1.5 bedroom apartments or smaller, although we do have quite a bit of experience with much larger moves. However, the vast majority of the work we do falls into the "small" category. While we will certainly consider anything larger than a typical 1.5 bedroom apartment or house, we're making a conscious decision to stick with what we know -- and are better equipped for* -- best.

After doing more than 1,500 moves, I have quite conclusively...uh...concluded that three men and a 16 foot box truck is the best configuration for most jobs. I spell out my reasons in more detail here: (Why three men?) and here: (Why a Penske truck?), but the short version is that it's the fastest, most efficient way to get the job done at a fair price while remaining (marginally) profitable. It allows one guy, usually me, to strap and secure things in the truck while allowing two guys to continually bring things TO the truck.

* By "better equipped," I'm referring to a new development with MTB. As of this writing (5/27/10), we are about to acquire two shiny new (well, new for us) box trucks. They're your standard 16-footers, or the more common box trucks you see on the road. They're fantastic additions to our toolkit, but they are what they are -- perfectly adequate for 1.5 bedroom apartments or smaller, but not so great for anything larger than that.
